This one worked the other way around.Flooring, wall finishes, and trim details were carried through from the adjoining spaces, so the kitchen shares the same hardwood flooring, bright walls, and substantial white trim found across the home's three floors. Large windows bring daylight into the space, consistent with the rest of the interior.The practical benefit is sightlines: from the kitchen, the transition into the surrounding living areas is continuous. Nothing announces where one project stopped and another started.
